CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Clovis High just found out that its marching band has been selected to perform in the 2027 Rose Bowl - and the students were beyond excited.

The surprise announcement was made during Friday's football halftime show, and it had students jumping for joy.

Trumpet player Noah Xiong was so excited his jaw literally dropped.

"I am so hyped, we've worked so, so hard to get to this position right now. And I am just so proud of this band, like so much," he said. "I was shocked. I turn around to all my bandmates, I was like, 'No way.' My mouth was just wide open. I just couldn't believe it. And I was getting so emotional. I started tearing up."

The Director of the Instrumental Music Program, Esmeralda Rocha Lozano, said she did more than tear up.
