SURAT: A dispute over ending a partnership in a jointly owned sewing unit between a man and his nephew took a grisly turn when the nephew was brutally murdered — his body was allegedly hacked into five pieces, stuffed into a bag, and dumped into a rivulet in the Udhna area. The 25-year-old, Mohammed Amir Alam, had been missing since Oct 6, from the sewing unit in which he and his maternal uncle Mohammed Iftikhar Wajid Ali were partners. Both are from the Barari block of Bihar's Katihar district and settled in Surat for many years. Police began investigations after Alam's brother Parvez (20) lodged a missing persons report in the Udhna police station on Friday as his phone was switched off for four days.
