Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has made it clear that he will not contest the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Amid a personal dispute with his wife Jyoti Singh, he said he joined the BJP not to fight elections but to serve the party as a loyal worker. His announcement comes a day after his wife met political strategist & Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishore to discuss her grievances.

Pawan Singh’s social media statement

On Saturday, Pawan Singh wrote on social media: "I, Pawan Singh, want to tell my Bhojpuri community that I did not join the party to contest the Bihar Assembly elections. Nor do I wish to fight the elections. I am a true soldier of the party and will remain so."

His post reaffirmed his loyalty to the BJP despite ongoing speculation about his political ambitions.
