The Salesforce CEO is getting pushback from San Francisco elected officials, including the district attorney, after saying he supports President Donald Trump sending the National Guard into the city.

In an interview with the New York Times, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said he supports Trump sending the National Guard to San Francisco.

Benioff believes the National Guard could reduce crime in the city, adding, “We don’t have enough cops, so if they can be cops, I’m all for it.”

His remarks took place before next week’s annual Dreamforce conference, which will bring more than 50,000 people to the city.

In the New York Times article, Benioff lamented paying for hundreds of off duty law officers to patrol the convention area at Moscone Center.
