Morristown East continued its losing streak Friday night with a 51-12 defeat at the hands of Karns.
East couldn’t get anything moving offensively, setting the tone for an ugly game as Karns ran all over the Hurricanes’ defense. Karns took advantage of an injured East team all night, being more physically aggressive and playing cleaner than the Hurricanes in the dominant victory for the Beavers.
East struggled defensively all night long, unable to stop Karns’ ground game with the Beavers’ running backs. The Beavers got a strong effort out of wideouts Weston Ritter and Jonas Zimmerman as well, who put together a combined 162 yards on seven receptions and a touchdown against a weak East defense all night.
