On an evening that included dozens of former players and one legendary coach at La Quinta High School, the Blackhawks may have saved their season.

The school honored Dan Armstrong at halftime, naming the stadium’s football field after the coach who delivered the schools only CIF Southern Section championships. The group of former players who were in attendance joined Armstrong on the stadium track for a small ceremony.
