Brodie Kostecki has backed up his provisional lap with a blistering time of 2:04.041s to take his third pole in a row at the Bathurst 1000.
He joins the legendary duo Allan Moffat and Peter Brock in the history books as he claims his third consecutive pole position for the race.
Behind him were three of his Mustang compatriots, with Cameron Waters and Chaz Mostert rounding out the top three, with only 0.001s between their laps. Ryan Wood came through in fourth. Advertisement

"Pretty special moment, three in a row [and] to be tied with some people I've really looked up to," said Kostecki.
"Got a big day tomorrow, [and] can't wait to do it with my good mate Toddy [Todd Hazelwood].
