CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Highland Hornets spoiled the Kent Roosevelt homecoming, defeating the Rough Riders convincingly, 58-7, Friday night.

Hornets running back Casey Myser continued his stellar season as the senior scored five touchdowns, and the defense held the Rough Riders to seven points as the Hornets controlled this game from start to finish.

The Hornets remain undefeated and improve to 7-0, 3-0 in Suburban American Conference play. With the loss, the Rough Riders fall to 4-4, 2-3.

Highland entered the week ranked No. 8 in cleveland.com’s Top 25, while Kent Roosevelt was unranked.

“The guys were excited to come out here and hit a real team,” said Highland head coach Mike Gibbons after the win. “We have to continue to find weaknesses in our game and keep getting better.”
