WATERTOWN — In case you didn't know it, South Dakota currently has only two unbeaten volleyball teams and one hails from northeastern South Dakota.

And it's not one of the traditional powers (Class B Northwestern or Warner, Class A Hamlin or Class AA Watertown) that is still perfect, although each of the aforementioned programs are enjoying pretty good seasons.

The area team is fourth-rated Class A Clark-Willow Lake, which improved its season record to 18-0 with a 3-0 victory over Great Plains Lutheran on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Watertown. Fourth-rated Class B Bridgewater-Emery, which improved to 17-0 the same night, was the only other undefeated team in the state heading into Oct. 9 matches. ( Update: Clark-Willow Lake improved to 19-0 with a 3-1 win over Redfield on Oct. 9 ).
