FORT COLLINS — Fresno State accumulated more offensive yards than Colorado State in Friday night’s Mountain West Conference matchup at Canvas Stadium, but the Rams came up with enough big plays defensively to pull out a victory.
Multiple sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery and return contributed to the Rams’ 35 first-half points and although they had to hold off a brief second-half rally by the Bulldogs, those big plays in the first half turned out to be valuable in a 49-21 victory.
