LEXINGTON — From an outsider's perspective, it's hard to find many positives for Kentucky football five games into the fall. The Wildcats are 2-3 overall, with all three losses in SEC competition. Coach Mark Stoops hasn't won a league game in more than a year, sitting with eight straight setbacks in conference play. And UK has dropped 12 of its last 13 outings versus power conference opponents.

Yet as the team enters its second, and last, open date of the 2025 season , Stoops vows his players will keep a stiff upper lip.
