PYONGYANG, Oct 11: North Korea showcased its latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the Hwasongpho-20, during a military parade in Pyongyang commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Saturday.

The purpose was to demonstrate North Korea’s military advancements, featuring the Chonma-20 main battle tanks, 155mm self-propelled howitzers, and 600mm multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), according to KCNA.

The parade was attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, heads of parties and governments of friendly countries, representatives of foreign delegations, veterans and diplomats.
