INDIANAPOLIS — Marcy Boyle and her pink, glitter-encrusted bicycle didn’t miss a 6 a.m. Friday practice.

A 6-year-old Boyle rode her bike from her Indianapolis home to the Bishop Chatard athletic facility across the street to observe, catch balls and train with the varsity girls soccer team.

”When I was younger, I remember thinking, ‘These girls are so good, I can never be like them,’” Boyle said.
