India’s young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal broke his silence after his heartbreaking run-out during the second Test against the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The 23-year-old batter, who was on the verge of another double century, was dismissed for 175 following a miscommunication with skipper Shubman Gill on Day 2.
The Costly Mix-Up
The incident occurred in the second over of the day. Jaiswal pushed a delivery towards mid-off and called for a quick single, but Gill stayed put at the non-striker’s end, leading to confusion.
By the time Jaiswal turned back, Tagenarine Chanderpaul’s direct throw had caught him short of the crease.
Visibly dejected, Jaiswal exchanged a few heated words with Gill before walking off the field. The umpire intervened as the crowd, which had gath
