Aldi recalls two pressure cooker models after 11 burn injury reports

Defective cookers sold nationwide between 2016 and 2019, retailed for about $40 before taxes

Customers can return recalled units for a full refund

Aldi customers may want to exercise caution with the grocery store’s pressure cookers after two have been recalled due to several injury reports from expelled hot foods.

According to a Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSP) notice, published on Thursday, Oct. 9, Tempo International (USA) Inc. a Florida distributor of Aldi’s, has received 11 reports of severe burn injuries from the appliance’s top popping off from steam pressure.
