HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- Julie Wischer is the executive director of Elevate Life Career Community Center.

Wischer is from Henderson and previously worked at the school board office before joining Elevate. Wischer has been serving as executive director since 2016.

Elevate is a community center for adults with disabilities, teaching coping skills, work ready skills, communication skills and life skills. The goal is for participants to be confident, productive members of the community.

Elevate is currently leading a $15 million inclusive housing project in Henderson that broke ground in February. The project is designed to house up to 64 people with disabilities who want to live independently. The project is expected to be completed by 2026.
