Outdoor and sporting goods retailer Orvis plans to close over 30 stores by early 2026.
The chain confirmed the news to USA Today on Friday, Oct. 10, with company president Simon Perkins attributing the closures to the “unprecedented tariff landscape.” Perkins noted that Orvis will close 31 stores and five outlets by early next year. This is just over half of their locations nationwide. The remaining stores will also reduce their inventories, focusing less on lifestyle apparel and more on gear and outdoor products.
