SANTEE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Crews are responding to a vegetation fire in Santee, which has prompted an Evacuation Warning for some nearby residents, fire officials confirmed.

The incident was first reported around 9:30 a.m. in the 10400 Block of Appaloosa Court. The blaze was reported to be at a quarter of an acre with a slow rate of spread.

Multiple engines were called to the scene and a helicopter was also requested to assist with response efforts.
