CUSICK, Wash. -- The owner of a boutique RV resort in northeast Washington has been honored with the inaugural Outstanding Customer Service Award by Washington State Tourism.

The award was presented to Jake Abbott at the annual Tourism Conference in Spokane last week.

Abbott owns Ruby Creek Resort, a resort that first opened in 2023 along the Pend Oreille River.

The Port of Pend Oreille says the Outstanding Customer Service award was introduced this year to recognize an individual who demonstrates outstanding welcoming, commitment to service and a positive impact on the visitor experience.
