Anne Arundel County voters could get the opportunity to decide whether to expand binding arbitration to all county employees in 2026.

The Anne Arundel County Council introduced a charter amendment resolution that, if passed and later approved by voters, would extend access to binding arbitration to all county employees during the collective bargaining process. The resolution must first receive super majority support — five affirmative votes from the seven-member Council — before going onto the ballot for voters to decide.

Resolution 30-25 is sponsored by Councilmember Allison Pickard, a Millersville Democrat.
