A teenager was allegedly stabbed in the chest on board a train in Sydney’s north-west on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Hornsby train station at around 4.30pm, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attached to the Ku-Ring-Gai Police Area Command found a 14-year-old boy with stab wounds to his chest. He was treated by paramedics and taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
The 14-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed by one teenager, who was with three others, while aboard a train.
The group of teenagers and the injured boy exited the train at Hornsby station after the alleged incident, where police have now established a crime scene.
The group of boys, including the one who allegedly stabbed the teenager, fled the scene.
