In a special called meeting Oct. 7 by the Cleveland County Board of Education, a local nonprofit expressed interest in purchasing the former Marion Elementary School and gave a presentation on their proposed plans.

The meeting was announced Oct. 4.

One More One Less, an organization started by a husband and wife team four years ago, partners with churches to be involved in foster care and adoption. They have expressed interest in purchasing the former school.
