MADISON, Wis. — It was never really in doubt.

After Iowa took a 3-0 lead with 4:33 remaining in the first quarter, it never looked back in route to a 37-0 drubbing of Wisconsin.

The Hawkeyes (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) dominated the Badgers (2-4, 0-3 Big Ten) in every facet of the game from offensive production (319-209) to time of possession (31:09-28:45), from takeaways (3-1) to penalties (two for 10 yards vs. three for 35).

“I am really, really pleased with the effort of our team tonight,” head coach Kirk Ferentz said. “(I’m) really proud of how the guys played. Just looking backwards, I thought the guys really handled the bye week extremely and then when we got back to work getting ready for this ball game, I thought that the week of preparation went really well too.”
