EXCLUSIVE: Sky has acquired A24 and Peacock ‘s Friday the 13 th series, Crystal Lake , and will launch it next year. The deal covers the UK and Ireland and will see the series play on Sky and its streaming service, Now.

Crystal Lake is the first project in the Friday the 13 th franchise since Marcus Nispen’s 2009 reboot movie, which was the twelfth film instalment overall. The seminal first slasher movie was released in 1980.

The series stars Linda Cardellini ( Dead to Me, No Good Deed ), who plays the iconic Pamela Voorhees from the Friday the 13 th franchise. Also starring are William Catlett ( A Thousand and One, Constellation ), Devin Kessler ( Godfather of Harlem ), Cameron Scoggins ( Shades of Blue, Nashville ) and Gwendolyn Sundstrom.
