Jaylin Bullock threw a touchdown pass and ran for another as Seton Hall Prep held off Pope John, 17-15, in Sparta.

Leading 3-0 after Declan Farrell’s 19-yard field goal, Bullock ran for a 4-yard touchdown on the final play of the first half, capping off a 17-play, 80-yard drive that gave Seton Hall Prep (2-4) a 10-0 lead.

Bullock connected with Leonard West on a 62-yard catch and run for a score that made it 17-7 with 1:22 left in the third quarter.

Pope John (1-5) started its comeback when Shawn Baumann sacked Bullock in the end zone for a safety with 4:08 remaining. After the enusing free kick, Pope John went 65 yards on 11 plays with Luke Irwin scoring on a 1-yard QB keeper with 1:12 left. Irwin’s pass on what would have been a game-tying two-point attempt was ruled incomplete.
