The defending Memorial Cup champs rode a Cohen Bidgood overtime tally for their fourth straight victory in a 5-4 win over the Sarnia Sting before 9,061 Saturday at Canada Life Place. Three of those four triumphs have gone beyond regulation. Article content Article content
One of the best descriptions of Bidgood is that he drags you into the fight every game. The 18-year-old from Peterborough plays hard in the corners and isn’t afraid to mix it up or go to the front of the net.
That’s exactly where he was when he poked home the winner in a scrum after his initial chance was foiled. He stuck with it and delivered his third goal of the season – one more than he had in 19 games last year.
