CLEVELAND, Ohio – This month, we tried six wines from three countries.

We found some great deals as we tasted four wines from Italy, one from the United States and one from Argentina.

It’s always nice to find food-friendly wines that double as stand-alone sippers.

Note: Our monthly reviews focus on wines $25 and under. All should be available on local store shelves. We list flavors we detect, then offer our favorite at the end.

Poderebarbi.com , Umbria, Italy; Grechetto, 2024, $17.99

Lime, tangerine and some lemon cross the palate in this balanced wine between fruit and acidity. Went well with grilled vegetables and chicken but also worked as a stand-alone sipper. Slight pleasing acidic tinge to it. Well done.
