Hyderabad, Oct 12: Disturbing incidents of violence and tragedy have emerged from Telangana, with police reporting the alleged rape and murder of a tribal woman in Medak district and the suicide of an engineering student in Hanumakonda.

Brutal Assault and Death in Medak

A 33-year-old tribal woman and mother of five has died after being sexually assaulted and brutally attacked in Medak district.

The woman, a daily-wage labourer, had left home for work on Friday. On Saturday morning, local residents found her lying unconscious with a severe head injury under a tree in Kulcharam mandal and alerted the police.

Initially taken to a local hospital, she was referred to a Hyderabad facility but tragically succumbed to her injuries while being transported
