IHSAA boys soccer: Whiteland wins sectionals over Center Grove

WHITELAND — Whiteland junior forward Elijah Wright is alone. He rises from his team’s bench at Break-O-Day Elementary School and starts a 30-yard walk toward the goal at the south end of the field.

In his sight, senior teammates are taking pictures with their arms wrapped around each other’s shoulders and a championship trophy at the center of the frame.
