The Cleveland Browns are elevating former Tennessee Titans cornerback Tre Avery for their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers , the team announced. Avery is being elevated for the third straight game from the practice squad, his third and final elevation of the season.
He signed with the Browns on September 18 and quickly saw work on the team as a special teamer. He has four combined tackles over his first two weeks playing, and given another chance to showcase his skillset, could be on the way up to the main roster.
Avery was an undrafted free agent out of Rugetrs in the 2022 NFL Draft, but has done well for himself to stick around over the last few years.
He initially signed with the Tennessee Titans, spending the first three seasons of his career in Nashville from 2022 to 2024
