MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A car flipped on Interstate 495 in Montgomery County early Sunday morning, leaving one person with minor injuries, officials said.
In a post on the X platform at 6:40 a.m., Pete Piringer with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service said crews responded to the crash on the inner loop of I-495 between Rockville Pike and Connecticut Avenue.
There, they found a car rolled over in the grass, off the roadway.
Piringer noted that the person inside the overturned vehicle crawled out on their own with only minor injuries.
As a result, some lanes were blocked as responders worked to clear the scene. At this time, it is unclear what caused the vehicle to crash.
