NEW YORK (PIX11) --- A nor'easter will bring coastal flooding and high winds to the New York City area on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
A coastal flood warning has been issued for Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, as well as Hudson, Bergen, Essex, and Union counties in New Jersey, according to the NWS.
The flood warning will be in effect from noon Sunday to 6 p.m. Monday.
Along with the heavy rain, wind gusts could reach up to 50 mph or more. A wind advisory is in effect for parts of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, according to the NWS.
On Sunday morning, wind gusts had already reached more than 30 mph at LaGuardia Airport and 28 mph in Central Park and John F. Kennedy Airport, according to the NWS.
