The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Sunday, October 12, announced the final seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.
As per the formula, BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each, while Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) gets 29 seats. Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) will contest six seats each. This marks the first time in Bihar polls history that the BJP and JD(U) are contesting the same number of seats in an alliance.
