Many have said this about Thatcher Demko in recent weeks. And it’s an important point. Yes, we must remember this.

Before he damaged the popliteus muscle in his left knee in the first game of the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs, he was on top of the world. He was well and truly challenging Connor Hellebuyck for title of best goalie in the game.

We must remember how good he was playing.

And we must understand that this is what is driving Demko now. He knows he’s that good. He’s here to prove it.
