COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police arrested a pickpocket suspect Saturday evening in Colorado Springs.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), an officer was working in the area of the 1200 block of Interquest Parkway around 6:44 p.m.

CSPD said the officer approached a man who was attempting to steal items from patrons’ pockets. When the officers contacted the man, later identified as Ethan Olsen, he allegedly tried to grab the officer’s gun.

Olsen was taken into custody without further incident. He is being held in the El Paso County Jail on a $2,000 bond, according to online jail records.
