SPOKANE, Wash. — The Western Hockey League season is a grind. It's full of ups and downs and a lot of bus miles. For players trying to make their way to the National Hockey League, there is no better training ground than the WHL. There is always a portion of the schedule where the team is going from town to town and for the Chiefs, the first portion in the season schedule was in mid-October.

Before the team embarked on their longest road trip of the 2025-26 season, Spokane would finish up a 4 game home stand as they hosted the Wenatchee Wild. The Chiefs were hoping to finish 2-2 at the Arena after dropping two straight on home ice against Prince George the weekend before.
