CALERA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Calera Police have made an arrest after a man led them on a brief chase; the suspect continued to drive on flat tires after all of his tires were spiked.

Police say around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, Oct. 12, dispatch received a call from someone saying there was a car driving on Interstate-65 at a dangerously slow speed, unable to maintain their lane.

According to police, the driver got off I-65 at exit 228 and pulled into a gas station. Multiple units responded and found the driver either passed out or asleep. The driver was ordered to lower his window and exit the vehicle. He reportedly only lowered his rear window, from which the officers smelled marijuana.

Police say, the suspect was asked to remove his hands from his pockets and exit the vehicle.
