INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have lost another critical piece of the game plan due to an injury suffered in pregame warmups.

Charvarius Ward , the team’s No. 1 cornerback, suffered a concussion during warmups when he collided with tight end Drew Ogletree. Ogletree was catching passes from a staffer, and he ran into Ward as the cornerback was taking his drop.

Indianapolis declared him out for the game, leaving the Colts perilously thin at a cornerback position that has been snakebitten by injury this season.

Ward has now suffered two concussions in a span of six weeks. The veteran cornerback reported concussion symptoms after a season-opening win over the Dolphins. Ward missed one game, then returned to the lineup.

The Colts cornerback room has been decimated by injury this season. Loo
