(WNDU) - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish moved up three spots while the Indiana Hoosiers moved up four spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college football poll .
The Irish (4-2) moved from No. 16 to No. 13 after beating NC State 36-7 while the Hoosiers (6-0) moved up from No. 7 to No. 3 after picking up an impressive 30-20 win on the road at (previously) No. 3 Oregon .
The No. 3 ranking is the highest ranking in program history for Indiana. The Hoosiers received three first-place votes, which is their most in a poll since they got the same number when they were ranked No. 6 on Nov. 5, 1945.
As for other regional teams in the poll, Michigan (previously No. 15) dropped out of the poll entirely after losing on the road at USC 31-13.
