THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The residents of Padinjarae Nada are shattered over the death of two-and-a-half-year-old Dhruv Nath, the toddler who used to laugh around, talking with neighbours. Dhruv died while undergoing treatment after a drilling machine penetrated his forehead, seriously injuring him.

Dhruv's house is the third from the west of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple, near the police control room. The place is always blanketed by police presence. Whenever he stepped out of the house with his mother, Dhruv used to engage in pleasantries with police officials. It was the same police officials who rushed to the house, hearing the screams, to rush Dhruv to the hospital.
