BJP leader Locket Chatterjee on Sunday lashed out at the TMC-led West Bengal government over the handling of the alleged gangrape case in Durgapur, raising concerns about the investigation and justice for victims.

Speaking to ANI, Locket Chatterjee said, “…if any new incident occurs, the criminal will be let off again. Then the public will forget too. You saw how millions of people took to the streets over the rape-murder case at RG Kar College and Hospital, but nothing happened. After that, it was handed over to the CBI. Without evidence, what can the CBI do… so the same will happen here too…. and the criminal will be let off…”
