NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A winning streak wasn’t in the cards for the Saints on Sunday (Oct. 12).
After notching their first victory of the season last week against the New York Giants, New Orleans lost to the New England Patriots at Caesars Superdome, 25-19.
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye burned the Saints secondary for three touchdowns in the contest, with former LSU star Kayshon Boutte on the receiving end of two of them.
Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler didn’t register a touchdown pass against New England, and fell to 1-11 as an NFL starter.
The Saints trailed by six in the fourth quarter, and were driving for the potential winning score. But the drive unrivaled when tight end Juwan Johnson lost a fumble at the Patriots’ 49-yard line with 8:50 to play.
