The South Lake High Eagles claimed the district championship this past Friday night, exploding on offense and defense, and beating Horizon High School 54-14. This gives the Eagles back-to-back district championships.

The Eagles offense put up over 600 yards and the defense shut down the Horizon offense in the second half securing the homecoming victory.

Junior Tre Kelly threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns, as well as rushing for a touchdown. Tre connected with senior receiver Isiah Pina three times in the end zone. He also threw a 79 yard touchdown to Keydrick Powell to cap the scoring.

Keydrick had another big night with 7 catches for 187 yards. Malik Holman rushed for 228 yards and 2 touchdowns as well. Tre connected in the back of the end zone to Isaiah with just 15 seconds
