COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Historical Society (BCHS) Board of Directors has announced that Executive Director Diane Robbins will retire in early 2026.

Robbins started at the Historical Society in 2018, and in eight years, the board says she has left an incredible and lasting mark on BCHS and the community.

Under her leadership, the organization has expanded programming, deepened community connections, and preserved countless stories of the county’s history for future generations.

Ike DeClue, President of the Board of Directors, said, “We are grateful for her vision, her passion, and her dedication to celebrating Bartholomew County’s unique heritage. Congratulations to Diane on her well-deserved retirement. We thank her for eight years of service.”
