The Denver volleyball team won the North Iowa Cedar League (NICL) conference tournament by defeating class 1A No. 7 Gladbrook-Reinbeck and class 2A No. 2 Dike-New Hartford on Thursday, October 9 at Union High School. The win is yet addition to the ever-growing list of accomplishments for the defending class 2A state champions.

The tournament consisted of all 15 NICL member schools competing across two days and four different locations. The Cyclones advanced to the semifinals by winning their side of the bracket at home on Tuesday, October 7. In those two rounds, the Cyclones defeated East Marshall in two 25-9 sets as well as class 2A No. 11 Wapsie Valley 25-23 and 25-19.
