SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - The Greater Shreveport Chamber, in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, is bringing the 2026 National Civics Bee to Caddo Parish.
Each year, middle school students across the country compete head-to-head by demonstrating their civics knowledge. This is initially done through written essays submitted by students. If selected, students then have the opportunity to compete in live events at local, state, and national levels.
Finalists from in-person competitions will advance to the National Championship in Washington, D.C., for a chance to win cash prizes, scholarships, and school funding.
