Give young people a chance to find their voice

Editor, The Beacon: As a Volusia County voter who grew up in New Smyrna Beach and now works in the arts and culture sector in the UK, I was dismayed to read in The Beacon (“Volusia County Council drops cultural grants approval”) that the council has chosen to cut cultural funding.
