Fail to remain collision on Highway 401 in Port Hope

Northumberland OPP are investigating a fail to remain collision that caused serious injury on Highway 401 in Port Hope on Tuesday. A passenger vehicle and a motorcycle were involved in the midday collision in the eastbound lanes near the service centre. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The passenger vehicle failed to remain at the scene. It is described as grey in color and may be an SUV and is believed to have sustained damage to the right hand side of the vehicle. The eastbound lanes were closed for almost two hours but have reopened. A nyone who may have witnessed the collision or has video/dash cam footage is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
