In another shocking incident, a private engineering college student was allegedly raped by her classmate in Kolkata. The police have arrested the accused from the Anandapur area in the southern part of the city.

According to PTI, a senior police officer said that the victim had lodged a complaint at the Anandapur police station, alleging that she became unconscious after being offered a drink laced with drugs, following which her batchmate raped her.

The police have not revealed the victim’s home state.

The officer said that the victim was living in rented accommodation in Anandapur. The accused had visited her home and offered her a drink laced with drugs. She fell unconscious, and he raped her.
