Carter, 50, is a lawyer and was a Georgia Senator from 2010 to 2015. He's also one of the 11 grandchildren of Georgia's own former President Jimmy Carter. He was a featured speaker at the late president's funeral in January and, in February, accepted the Grammy on behalf of his grandfather for "Last Sundays In Plains: A Centennial Celebration" which won the "best audio book, narration, and storytelling recording" award.
